Touch International Releases New 4K 23.8” PCAP Open Frame Monitor for Medical Applications
The new plug-and-play multi-touch monitor combines the latest PCAP technology with DCI-P3 display quality for best-in-class, IEC-compliant medical display applications.
Austin, Texas, February 2, 2021 – Touch International (TI), a global leader in touchscreen display solutions, has released their new medical-compliant 23.8” PCAP open frame monitor featuring high-bright LED backlights and an ultra-wide color gamut. The plug-and-play monitors feature USB-touch connectivity and broadcast color picture quality and can be customized for a wide range of commercial or industrial applications.
The 23.8” industrial display features 4K UHD 3840×2160 resolution. The LCD has been enhanced with a proprietary mix of optical films to achieve a 105% DCI-P3 ultra-wide color gamut to achieve accurate image color and quality typically reserved for the film and broadcast industry. With dual-edge LED backlights and brightness levels up to 1500nits, the 23.8” OFM-MED is ideal for applications with high ambient lighting conditions commonly found in hospitals, clinics, and any commercial environment where overhead lighting or sunlight is a factor.
The 10-point PCAP multi-touch sensor features the latest in touch controller technology and EMI shielding for IEC60601/IEC61010 Medical compliance. The touch sensor and display are integrated with a full optical bond for enhanced picture quality and durability. The impact-resistant 2MM cover glass is manufactured and processed for scratch and break resistance. The touch surface has been chemically-etched for anti-glare, anti-fingerprint performance, and smooth gesturing for a premium user experience with bare hands or surgical gloves.

The brushed aluminum faraday enclosure is shielded for IEC-Medical compliance and has a VESA compatible mount with adjustable side flanges for integration in cabinets, enclosures, consoles, and other applications. Dual HDMI and DisplayPort inputs are tucked behind the monitor to simplify cable management. USB touch screen communication ensures plug-and-play operation with Windows or Android operating systems
