Touch International Implements ITAR Compliance Program
Austin, TX – December 7, 2009 – Touch International, a global leader in the touch screen industry, announced today its capability to accept proprietary ITAR government contracts due to the launch of the ITAR Compliance Program at its corporate headquarters in Austin, Texas.
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are regulations put in place by the United States Government to control the import and export of domestic and foreign defense-related articles and services on the United States Munitions List. To become ITAR compliant, a business must adhere to exceptionally strict rules and requirements pertaining to government and military equipment and information.
“Being ITAR compliant will open a lot of doors for Touch International,” says Jay Kerr, Touch International’s Empowered Official for ITAR. “All of our hard work will pay off as TI grows. I’m proud of all the effort that everyone has put into this.”
