Touch International Adds Filters and Touch Screen Enhancements to the Product Line
Austin, TX – August 18, 2006 – Touch International, Inc. announces the addition of filters to their product line. Many people think of Touch International as just a touch screen company. TI can incorporate a number of filters and light guides into the touch panels to improve touch screen readability, optical clarity, and to meet any number of customer requirements. “We are excited about our innovative custom offerings,” says Grieg Spidle, Vice President of Military Aerospace Markets. “TI is specially prepared to serve the military and aerospace markets with C-Touch, our custom line of touch screen enhancements.”
TI’s flame retardant filters are ideal for Military and Aerospace markets. The main requirements for military and aerospace markets is the FAR 25.853 vertical burn. A cross section of a touch screen is exposed to flame and must self-extinguish within 12 seconds or 60 seconds depending on the diagonal length. The base material structures that Touch International can implement within a custom design have been formulated to pass the 12 and 60-second vertical burn test dictated by the FAA without deleterious effects to the light transmission rate.
Many touch screen providers lack all-inclusive solutions, sending customers to an outside company for plastic and glass filter needs.
